Exploring York

After a slight adjustment to my plans after leaving university this year, I made the decision to commit to a return to education in September 2016, to complete an MA in Women’s Studies. Reasons to Be Cheerful

August 9, 2015 in Lifestyle

How To Start Running

How To Start Running

April 8, 2020

In these mixed-up days of COVID-19 lockdown, it feels like everyone’s a runner. You only have to head out for your daily government-prescribed exercise session or stroll down to the supermarket to notice an unusual influx of lycra-clad individuals. For me though, this has been such a lovely sight to see. I’ve been running more […]

Lake Titicaca

January 19, 2017

During the time we’ve spent travelling, hiking has become an excellent way to pleasantly fill up a day without breaking the bank. So, when we arrived at Lake Titicaca, we were slightly disappointed to hear that the one notable hike from Copacabana (Lake Titicaca’s main tourist town) took place on Isla del Sol, an island […]

What can I say... this year has been a shocker, bu What can I say... this year has been a shocker, but I am confident that things are going to pick up in 2021. Looking forward to a new house, running @londonmarathon for @thestrokeassociation, skiing (🤞🏻), Mallorca, and a world where we use the words ‘lockdown’, ‘quarantine’ and ‘unprecedented’ a whole lot less than we did this year! Happy new year from me and mine to you and yours 🥂✨*

We went for the festive menu - highlights for me were the spicy beef skewers, duck red curry, and plaintain in coconut milk... but I taste-tested everything and it was all mouthwatering. 🤤 Thankfully, you can still order Giggling Squid’s food on @deliveroo - if now isn’t the time to treat yourself then I don’t know when is! 🎄
