An Etsy Essential

I recently ordered this card from Oh gosh, Cindy’s shop on Etsy and I just felt so impressed that I had to write a quick post to express my gratitude.

All I can say is get online and look at the shop for yourselves. Immediately. It’s got an incredible variety of greeting cards and art prints that have all been illustrated by hand with watercolour and pen that really are special.

Basically, if you’re looking for a card that isn’t afraid to deviate from the generic “Happy Birthday” or “Congratulations” model then look no further. Oh, and the card was delivered with a lovely little handwritten message just to say thanks for the purchase. And that, my friends, is precisely why Etsy is such a satisfying online shopping experience. Here’s the link.

You’re welcome!

Bali Style

October 2, 2016

After a three-month hiatus from travelling spent at home, working my ass off to try to save money, I was well and truly ready to hit the road again. I arrived at Denpasar Airport, Bali, just before midnight, after a gruelling 20-hour journey. I was greeted by my lovely Oliver at arrivals, along with about […]

Valentine’s Day: Romantic or Repulsive?

Valentine’s Day: Romantic or Repulsive?

February 5, 2014

I’ve certainly been on both sides of the Valentine’s debate from year to year. I know how it feels to walk into a supermarket in search of a humble sandwich and instead, to stagger inadvertently down the dreaded Valentine’s aisle. The chocolate covered hearts and beribboned teddy bears left me feeling annoyed and pressurised. Why […]

In the run-up to my big trip, I’m finding myself becoming more and more attached to London. While I would definitely say I’m excited to set off and see the world, I’m also beginning to realise what I’m leaving behind. In less than three months time I’ll be travelling to the other side of the […]

One of the things I did while I was in Australia was to get back into reading for pleasure. As an English Literature student at university, I was required to read at least one novel per week, as well as one play, and a number of literary reviews and research papers as background reading. By […]

Exploring Kuala Lumpur

March 21, 2016

Kuala Lumpur is the perfect stop-over destination. I’d particularly recommend a few days in KL towards the end of your trip, or on your way back home because the opportunities for shopping are plentiful. It’s not the most architecturally beautiful city but it does offer enough for a few days of sightseeing and street food […]

The Inca Trail

January 22, 2017

If I’m completely and brutally honest, South America was never high on my list of travel musts. I might not have planned this trip had I been in charge of the itinerary, but a happy coincidence – in the form of my lovely boyfriend, Oliver – brought me to Peru, in December 2016. Here, we […]

What can I say... this year has been a shocker, bu What can I say... this year has been a shocker, but I am confident that things are going to pick up in 2021. Looking forward to a new house, running @londonmarathon for @thestrokeassociation, skiing (🤞🏻), Mallorca, and a world where we use the words ‘lockdown’, ‘quarantine’ and ‘unprecedented’ a whole lot less than we did this year! Happy new year from me and mine to you and yours 🥂✨*

I feel so lucky to have had the chance to enjoy a I feel so lucky to have had the chance to enjoy a delicious meal at @gigglingsquid last night before Tier 3! 😭 My local Guildford restaurant has just been refurbished and it’s looking lovelier than ever. We went for the festive menu - highlights for me were the spicy beef skewers, duck red curry, and plaintain in coconut milk... but I taste-tested everything and it was all mouthwatering. 🤤 Thankfully, you can still order Giggling Squid’s food on @deliveroo - if now isn’t the time to treat yourself then I don’t know when is! 🎄

Oh, go on then! 🎄 We could all use a little extra joy in our lives at the moment. Pjs on, mulled wine mulled and Home Alone at the ready. Happy Friday, folks! ✨
Hands down the prettiest place I’ve ever bought Hands down the prettiest place I’ve ever bought a Christmas tree! 🎄 Sadly we aren’t buying one ourselves this year as there is a *chance* we may be moving out of our flat in December and we don’t want to have to disassemble a real one after only a few weeks. At least we got to go and pick one for my mum, drink some mulled wine and say hi to the alpacas 😂🦙
